LUNAR
In the series “Lunar”, Morela Avilán works in several lines of visual research around monochrome and the expressive power of color fields. Although it is inspired by the artist’s interest in celestial bodies triggered by her previous series, “Solar”, in these pieces the symbolic aspects of the terrestrial satellite are important. They are linked to the feminine nature, to the natural cycles and to the non-solar aspects of the psyche.
